God Is Sending People To Hell For Unforgiveness!
Matthew 6:14-15: “For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.”
As shocking as it may seem, God is not kidding when it comes down to the reality of Hell. People do get sent there and God means business. The Bible tells us that we should fear the Lord because he has the power to send our souls to Hell. Luke 12:4&5 “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.”
It seems that a watered down gospel is why we veer away from this topic. Yet, this is exactly the reason so many people are in Hell today. People use that one scripture in Ephesians 2 that states: “8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works…” However, they overlook the part that states
You see, good works are a part of your salvation. Truthfully, without good works, you are still lost. Does this surprise you? I’m sure it does. However, all one has to do is to read the Bible and you will see that good works are a part of salvation. Look at what Jesus said in Matthew 7. He said, verse 17 “every good tree produces good fruit, but a rotten tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a rotten tree cannot produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into a fire. 20 So by their fruit you will know them.”
Jesus was making this statement about people. Then, later in this verse he tells many false prophets to depart from him because he never knew them. What must that have sounded like to here Jesus tell you he never knew you.
It seems that if you are going to claim Jesus as your savior, it is not enough to merely confess him as your Savior, but you must also work as well. Perhaps this is why Jesus accused the lacking confessors of being those who worked iniquity. Just listen to Matt 7:23: “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.” Actually, the reason they went to everlasting fire is that their works revealed them to be evil trees. Trees that produced bad fruit. Unforgiveness is bad fruit. If we’re are to gain heaven, we would do well to evaluate our actions. Make she your life reflects the faith of which you profess.
