The Stars Are Not What You Think. They Are Angels.
For many years stars have remained the mystery of the skies. Astronomers have speculated about them and their nature. Yet, we are only left with a minuscule understanding of them. It seems that the study of astrophysics has done very little to inform humanity about the nature, origin, and purpose of these points of light in the sky. One very famous astrophysicist stated that the universe scientist actually know very little about
One of the most popular thoughts about them is that they are suns, each having their own surrounding planets. Yet, this has not been verified since we are too far away from them to observe this phenomenon up close.
The Bible has another perspective on the stars. According to scripture, the stars are part of God’s creation. In the creation of account of the earth, God creates a firmament in Genesis 1:6-7; then, he places the sun, moon, and stars within the firmament.
According to the scriptures, the stars are the angels. One passage in the Bible makes an unmistakable reference to angels as “stars” is:
Revelation 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.
In other places, the stars are referred to as the heavenly host. The following are some examples:
Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.
Deuteronomy 4:19 And take heed, lest you lift your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, you feel driven to worship them and serve them, which the Lord your God has given to all the peoples under the whole heaven as a heritage.
Nehemiah 9:6 You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You. 7. when the morning stars sang together
Stars gave aid human being on the earth:
One example is that of the Magi who were guided by a star from the east to find the King of the Jews. The scripture records: Matthew 2:1
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2and asked, “Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”
It is clear enough to see that the story traces the quest of these Magi to find the one who was born king of the Jews. They arrive in the palace, after being guided there by a star.
Another example of stars aiding people is found in Judges 5. It is a little known passage in which the stars aided Israel to win a battle against Sisera, captain of the Canaanites.
Judges 5:20 From heaven the stars fought, from their courses they fought against Sisera.
